    I have a few questions.

Why is it that the list of possible ways of getting banned from googles rankings includes, buying links, exchanging links, personally submitting links to directories etc. yet everyone says these are the ways to rank high on search engines?

From my own experience I've had many many more links then some websites out there that got much more traffic. I've had a higher pr then many sites out there that had much more traffic. So really pr doesn't mean anything because we all only care about traffic.

Where exactly can I do keyword search and if you can explain it please.

    And what is digg.com???

I no many people here spend many many hours getting wayy less then minimum wage and most give up while a few learn and succeed. Hearing from those who have succeeded what exactly was it that got you able to make a good living online?

    Sorry for all the ?'s

Well you are confusing two seperate terms: 1. Ban 2. Penalize

Paid links do not get you banned, but actually your site can has to face a penalty in the form of PR drop, Grey bar. The last time google's lighting struck, most of the websites (Big names even) were burnt and perhaps all they had to face was a drop in PR but no SERPS were impacted.

And that too Paid links, Subject to detection are penalised, not all.. there are ways to get around this..

Keyword research means finding out keywords relevant to your niche and then selecting the best few that are low on comp, yet high on traffic..

For traffic and ranks you would require not only quantity of links but quality of links..

btw, Digg is a social bookmark website.. U can share/submit your content to the website for the globe to see and review it.

It should be pointed out Google algorithm changes very frequently! Sometimes, it takes into account PR and sometimes not!!!

You can do keyword search using Keyword Analysis Tool like this one. Digg is a well-known social bookmarking website! If you have an interesting story at your website you can submit it to Digg and if it is a really interesting story you will receive a lot of traffic as a result!

Then why is it that i've had websites that had many more links then others yet they got much more traffic then mine? And when I would check it they would not have nearly as close as the backlinks I have and there links back to them wasn't even a high pr link, and the website was a similar website?

According to some sites Google can be very subjective so getting banned can be a trouble
Digg is more like a Yahoo answers but with more news from around the world
