    Hey all,
I'm new to using article marketing to help with SEO, I'm planning on submitting articles to EZine to promote my sites. I've got a few questions though..

Do I post these same articles on Ezine aswell as my site? Or just on Ezine?

Do I need to build backlinks for these articles on ezine?

Does anyone else have advice for article marketing on ezine?

    thanks!

I'd suggest you post to your site first. Next reword/rewrite the article so it's slightly different and then submit the reworded version to Ezinearticles and other directories to start building your backlinks and attract traffic.

Make sure that your resource box contains a link using relevant keywords in the anchor text as well as a "tempting" reason for the reader to visit your site.

    Good luck,

    Andy

-Do not put the same articles on your blog that are on Ezine. You will get tagged for duplicate content.
-Yes build up as many backlinks to you blog and your articles to increase search engine rankings.
-Post many articles. Do lots of keyword research for low competition long tail keywords. Write short but informative articles (somewhere around 300 words long). At the end of the article post a link saying something like "Free tips on making money online". This will greatly increase your CTR and will give your readers an incentive to click your link. Start collecting e-mails by giving away a free guide or something.

Good luck! there are lots more tips about SEO and article marketing around this forum so just do some quick research and you will get all the answers you need and more.

Thanks for the great advice. Might be a bit harder for me to create an incentive for readers to click to my page as my site is on spearfishing/snorkelling etc.. I think i need to find something better than just articles to offer my readers

you can submit the same article to your blog as well as on ezine which is perfectly fine. however, if you decide to do so, make sure you submit the article on YOUR site FIRST, wait for google to index it, THEN submit to ezine. this way your site has the original content.

one important thing to know if you decide to go that route is that your blog admin name and ezine author name must be the same otherwise ezine will not approve your article that was previously posted on your site. as long as both the author names are same, ezine will approve your article.

    Hey - that's a great niche.

Could you put together perhaps a short report on say the top ten tips for a great spearfishing/snorkelling experience, best locations to snorkel, main considerations when chosing equipment etc.

Give stuff like that away from your site, include it in your article sig and they'll click through to get the freebies.

    Yours,

    Andy.

Agree 1000% ..There is no duplicate content penalty. It's called "Syndication"

That only applies to having duplicate content on your site.
