I'm sorry but that's just bullshit. Koran tells those two religions are from the same God, which Muslims call Allah, as well. That comment is just a false interpretation of the actions of some ignorant mid-east people, has nothing to do with the religion itself.

And Muslims surely do not hate Jews, that has something to do with ignorance and uncivilised culture in that area, also have something to do with Israeli(not Jew) politics, triggering the hate.

I don't think these "Why doesnt Koran say this why not Bible say that?" stuff is meant to talk here. These books have a quite deep language, very open to be interpretated differently if you are not a specialist about religions and languages. They mention a lot more than currently known, so any "simple" thing anyone says to make them seem superficial only makes him/her look superficial, not those two books which billions of people believe in.

In theory this sounds great, but reality is very different. I forgot the guys name, but he had a special on CNN about what is going on in the inside of Islamic education. Causing kids to hate Jews is a part of the Muslim upbringing.

That education they give under the name of "Islam", has nothing actually to do with it. They don't even have the intellectual level to see what actually Islam says. What sort of twisted religion would welcome members who were forced upon? I know mine does not.

Middle-East countries aren't the owners or representers of Islam, just like Europe isnt the owner of Christianity, they are only members of the religion and any pleasent or unpleasent behaviour they produce is only about themselves. The real religion, is the one in you, not what you show.

IMO if muslims are given a chance to learn about Jesus Christ's teaching they'll give up Islam.

Most muslims I know from middle east "HATE TO READ". They like to listen though, but don't like reading. I suspect that's the case in the whole middle east area.

Until the people in the middle east are not well educated, they'll keep believing Islam is the only "right teaching".

That's just funny, it sounds like all Christians read and search about all realigions and then keep up with theirs. In that logic, i'd say people convert to Budism and scientology in US so when they "read" they realise they were doing wrong. Which would be a pretty foolish statement.

I think we shouldn't turn this into a "whose religion is the best" arguement, which would lead us to nowhere. Let's just avoid manipulations of any sort so we can learn things from each other.

Those taxes, which some called Jizyah, are not an order of the religion. In those ages, people were titled & classified priorly with their religion and economical politics were delevoped accordingly. Like now i can call you "Blogmaster", but if we had met 500 years ago i'd maybe call you "some non-believer". That's the difference.

In those ages, non-christians were treated differently too in Europe, that does not mean Christianity advices to treat badly towards them. That's just the culture of those ages, uncivilised.
