Rules QUESTIONS: It’s all about the Members’ Title.

    DP’s new strategy, rules, outlook, securities are much more attractive, engaging, safe and reliable. Last year I visited DP and had not been joined. As a member of DP my ATTRACTION in digitalpoint is going stronger & falling in ADDICTION.
    Now the point is I think I should know exactly all terms related to the members’ level and climbing from one member’s stage to another stage as well as the required activities to become different types of member. And also about pre-member’s level like greenhorn and peon.

    I found some members in different title/designation such as
    1.Member 2.Active Member 3.Well-known Member 4.Notable Member 5.Prominent Member

    At the very beginning, I tried to compare between greenhorn and member.

    Messages-55, Likes-2, BA-0, TP-28
    https://forums.digitalpoint.com/members/asimmukhtar.742946/ (greenhorn)
    Messages-86, Likes-0, BA-0, TP6

    After being a member(Although I’m still confused about converting between greenhorn&member considering the profiles stated above) I started to compare between members and active members. I trace at the no of messages/posts, likes received, Best Answers etc again.

    Messages-339, Likes-3, BA-0, TP-58
    mob ((Active Member))
    Messages-748, Likes-5, BA-0, TP-55

    But couldn’t find any specific point to differ(of becoming) so far.
    Though we know after getting 3 ‘likes’ from 3 different existing Established Member one will be a Established Member(unwritten/untitled form) and enjoy some advantages/facilities. Even then it doesn’t mean that he/she became an Active Member. May be some regular presence and contribution lies in becoming an Active Member as well (but what exactly that wants?).

    Gradually comparison on that regard spreads among different types of Members.

    May be Giving Best Answer took them(well-known&notable members) up in Prominent. Whatever it is:
    My point of view is all those forming requirements should be known/cleared to users in written instruction then Contributor would be a bit more motivated to raise up his/her stage doing set up target beside their helpful contributions.
    Hope all these things will be revealed by our mates or shawn(DP).

    Unless I'm wrong it all has to do with trophy points. If I get 10 more (100 points, I'm at 90 at present) then I presume that I'll go from active member to well known member.

    The usertitles used to be based on postcount, I'm not sure if that's still the case though.

    Well, You did tell regarding your level/title ; what about from Member to Active Member or Greenhorn/Peon to Member(?).
    May be you are indicating
    >> 100 points(Trophy) for Well-known Member
    >> 200 points(Trophy) for Notable Member
    >> 300 points(Trophy) for Prominent Member
    By the way, I couldn't agree with you less on the point of considering only Trophy Points. Because according to the Trophy Points chart of DP without posting any message a user can achieve 300+ T.Points. Lets Look below: *Trophy Points=TP
    TP=20 Internet Presence
    TP=25 Security Guru
    TP=15 Back Link Tracker
    TP=15 Keyword Tracker
    TP=30 Ubiquitous
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Total TP=105 So, here we are 100 TP gained but what’d you think is it possible on this way to become a Well-known Member?
    Now, lets adding more TP (with TP=105) to reach 200+ & 300+ TP

    TP=5 Peer review
    TP=10 Advertising Whiz
    TP=10 First Anniversary
    TP=10 Gravatar
    TP=15 Premium User
    TP=25 Seasoned User
    TP=25 Great Reviewer
    Totaled TP = 205 Am I now a Notable Member?

    Lets add more:
    TP=50 Old School
    TP=50 Product Master
    Totaled TP=305 Am I now a Prominent Member?
    Tnx for your prompt response by the way!

    Oppss...how???
    I did response against just Trophy Points @ Spoiltdiva 's cmmnt.
    Would you plz check out there?
    And if only on Trophy Points wanna know separately for each title....also for Greenhorn, Peon, Member.
    I dont understand it would be only on TP because without posting a single message one can gain the huge TP so far.

    Although I wasn't signed up at the time of previous rules. But I got to know by fairly discussion of our mates that post counting has been erased in DP's new regulation to brush off the spammer' post and useless post so far. So, may be your point is wrong.

    Do you realize you can simply edit a post and you do not need to make 3 separate posts in a row?

    You sure are spending an inordinate amount of time on something pretty useless. They are just labels, and they happen to now correlate to trophy points, before they correlated to post count. In both cases they are pretty meaningless and insignificant. Surely you have better things to worry about - like pretty much anything. (yeah I posted to the thread, but only after seeing it keep getting bumped to the top when clicking to see 'What's New'.)

    Like browntwn said, user title serve exactly zero purpose... Not worth worrying about.

    Yape. You're right...i mean considering my username(or as a freelancer) that shouldn't be my headache. I didn't start any seo related activities yet. I'm jus lurking in DP now. I think I'm still new in DP and I'm not only just reading but also knowing everything as much as possible. Wont I want to know about that?
    If anyone being hurt or being bored I'm fervently seeking excuse. Actually I always welcome to any experienced user like you and ofcourse will try to follow any suggestion.
    Following @browntwn' word I wont post anything on this thread.

    Please feel free to post anywhere you want - I do. :)

    As far as my comment about the title, I just would not focus much energy on it. To paraphrase a saying, "with one eye fixed upon your destination, you only have one eye left to find the way"

    Yeah,I think you are right about everything you said but I just don't pay attention on that. If I see a guy who is peon or greenhorn is he know less from me because I am ''member''??? I think you know the answer. Look on some examples in the real life. It isn't important if someone is black,Chinese or Indian,we should treat their opinion not judging from the color of the skin or in this case status on the Digital Point. Everyone deserves the same treatment.

    What a discussion about title :confused:
    I had changed it on same day as new DP comes (it is different thing that only premium member can do that) and not remembered what was mine :p
    members here are known from their username and post quality more than their Titles so who cares...:)

    Don't You think it creates a sense of trust. For example, when we see digitalpoint's "Overlord of no one" :eek:
