Questions for those who use Turbo Tax

Instead of paying $100+ for H&R block to do my taxes, I'm thinking of doing them myself, but I have a few questions for their deluxe editions.

Once I purchase the program, can I do both mine and my families for the one price or would I pay separate for each return?

Which would be cheaper, online or downloading for both Federal/State? E-file isn't to important.

    Thanks :)

You can do as many tax returns with Turbo Tax as you like but you are only permitted to file 5 electronically. The rest you would have to file by paper. Each electronically sent return would be paid for separately (last year I think it was $14.95 but I can't remember.)

Hope that helps. It really is cheaper than H&R Block.

Thanks for the reply! I was a little concerned because I think somewhere on their website a few weeks back I found information saying that you could only file one return per purchase. I'm unable to find it at the moment though.

I do have one final question that I hope someone could give me a hand with regarding my taxes. Last year my H&R block representative said that in able to claim property taxes that I would have to have $10,000 or more in deductions for that year. My property taxes on my vacant land were only $500. I played around with their online version so I guess my question is that I can't find anything regarding that. I entered $500 in for property taxes, did everything else, and even ran the final check before you purchase/print and everything looked excellent. The $500 in property taxes are the only deductions that I have at the moment.
