Can you please look at your stats and tell me if the visitors from Brasil ALL have "No referring link"? Is it normal? This hapends to me for two weeks now and i'm worried because i have adsense on the site and i know that G doesn't like too much direct trafic. Please answer me, because i blocked the whole country of Brasil about two weeks ago because of this and lost thousands of visitors till now.
Umm so you don't want people to come back to your site? Majority of my traffic for one of my sites is direct visits. Visitors who type in my address to get there...or visitors who have bookmarked me...So, there really is nothing to worry about....after people hear about your site (from SEs) and think your site is good thats exactly how they are gonna come back...so in your case it could be someone from Brazil who told their friends about your site and their firends all typed in your URL to visit you...So don't worry about it
I'm guessing it's not people from Brasil, per say, but people from Brasil who found your site vis-a-vis a link on a popular Brasil site that has disabled referral information. Should you be worried? Don't know. Are you getting clicks from them? if not, then it's traffic.
I emailed G two weeks ago when the number of brazilian users raised. They replied a standard thanks...will monitor... email. Then i blocked IP's from Brasil. Today i reopened the site for them and they started coming. I don't know what to do, block them again or not. They represent about 10% of my uniques. My CTR remained in normal limits, even dropped a litle. Jack - good idea about popular site with disabled referral, going to investigate that and see what comes up.
