I'm thinking of adding the Ad Network to a new site that I'm about to launch, but I want to set things up differently than I have on my existing two sites in the network. Here are my two questions: 1. I want the Ad Network on some of the sub-directories, but not all. Something like having the network on /directory 1 and /directory3, but not on /directory2 and /directory4. I know I can easily do this by setting up a separate account for each sub-directory at the index level for that sub-directory, but I want to be sure that's OK. In other words, is it OK to have multiple accounts tiering to one website (but not to common pages)? 2. As a new site, it will have PageRank 0 for a couple of months until our friends at Google first assign Page Rank (I usually first come up at least PR4). Does a PR0 website still get assigned some weight as long as it's indexed in Google? Thanks for any feedback, and I'm loving the Ad Network! Having great successes with the SERPs I'm targeting!
On point 1, you can only have one account for a domain. On point 2, you will get weight just not as much as a PR1 or higher site.
On point 1... Are you sure about the limit on 1 account per domain? Per the FAQ and installation instructions, you are absolutely allowed to install the network at a sub-directory level rather than root level, as long as all pages in the sub-directory have the ads. So why wouldn't you be able to install on a second sub-directory if you follow all of the same rules? Sorry to be a nag on this point , but it's fairly important to me for what I want to do with my new domain. Any other opinions?
I know its a pain to search around the forum but he is the answer from the man himself. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=64126#post64126
Geez! I actually read through most of this forum most of the time. I can't believe this answer was just posted yesterday! Thanks for following up with me so that I have the real scoop!
Is it considered a different domain if you set it up like directory1.example.com, directory2.example.com? Something to think about if it is considered two different domains, which technically they are.
