    Hey all,
New to the forum, but am already falling in love with the community.

I just have a couple of questions regarding web hosting that a few quick searches couldn't answer.

I've only ever owned sites in conjunction with other people (e.g. band website etc) which web hosting service was only used by that site alone.

I'm gearing up to be running multiple sites of my own now; how does hosting multiple domains on one web service work (or do you have to have a site per plan type of thing?)

Is it generally one site per cpanel account, one plan can host one domain site? Or is it possible and allowed to host as many domains desired within the limit of the bandwith and space of a web hosting plan?
Sorry if this is kind of an elementary question.
    Thanks,
    Jagula

    Jagula,

Welcome to the forum! Most hosting companies offer unlimited addon domains. So that means under one cPanel account you can host multiple domains. Also cPanel is also very easy to use, and its even easier to add addon domains. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

    Good Luck.

Yep..you can host unlimited addon domains under your disk space and bandwidth, however unlimited domains should be allowed by a host. An addon domain means, domain created under your main account whose document root will be like /home/maindomain/public_html/addondomain in cPanel server.

Most webhosts allow you multiple domains to be hosted in same package. see the hosting package details before buying, or better test it.
If you are too new in this I would recommend free first month in hostgator with no obligation of renewal. use coupon code onepennyonly

If you are just starting out getting a shared hosting plan with addon domains is a great idea. I have 6 websites on my hostgator shared hosting account with no problems.

Almost every web hosting provider lets multiple domain hosting, so don't worry about that. I'm using balticservers.com services now and I have 3 different domains.
