Hello Guys, Now that i run some very useful sites is it good idea to promote them via social networking sites? Also, backlinks from social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Stumble Upon, etc are good for ranking in google?Let me know Thanks, Zain
My main concern is traffic - pr or links are secondary. Its the quality web traffic that provides sales
Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.I think i am gonna work on social bookmarking because my sites are useful so i am pretty sure if i submit my site's articles into Digg, users will digg it.I'd be working on digg later on today.I don't really care about pagerank. For me serps are everything since my main traffic source is search engine G.Thanks again for answering my questions.I appreciate that.
Zain - for the most part I believe that traffic and page rank go hand in hand. Posting your pages on social networking sites will definitely help both. If your users find your site useful they will probably also post a link to your site on their blogs, which will further increase your traffic and page rank.
social bookmarkeing sites helps to get traffic towards your site.but to get ranking on serp you should do other seo techniques too.
well, looks like the whole seo industry is now turning to the social bookmarking. Even ecommerce sites are now expanding to the sites like squidoo and sell their products directly to the public through social sites. I have created a lens on squidoo just to see if it really works for ecommerce website. You have a chance to START a dialogue with your customers, plus add some modules, such as youtube, ebay (!), flickr and others. I believe this is the future of online commerce.
