Questions About Sedo

A lot of the featured domains on Sedo are going for a ton of money, despite being pretty bad domains imo, so is it worth paying to get featured on Sedo, or is there a better place I can sell domains at?

crestind, you are absolutely right, There are some dross names going for a fortune on Sedo and other sites. I have had several names listed on Sedo for a while now, you get the odd view, but because there are so many names listed, I believe it is probably worthwhile, just once to pay the price and have it featured, then see what happens. You just have to prepared to lose out, but hope you gain.
I read somewhere recently that Sedo are very good but rather costly in fees, so its a bit of a tricky one.
Maybe other members might be able to shine a little more light on the subject.

I always felt that buying domain names was like gambling. Yes it helps to do your research before buying any domain names (especially if you want to resell the names) but I think sometimes a person who owns a not such great domain name just gets lucky and finds the right buyer (or end user) at the right time for their (great or not so great) domain(s).

I have recently started using namepros and I have had success on there. I also sold many domain names on tdnam and on ebay. I have sold a name here and there on Sedo but i find more success in just parking my domain names on there. (It also helps because I am in sedopro)

I think (or should I say feel?) one of the problems selling domain names on domain selling sites are the millions of other domain names listed on the domain sites as well so your domain name(s) never stand out or are hard to stand out.

I have never tried selling domain names on digital point yet but I plan on trying to sell some domain names on here real soon.

My blog might give you some pointers. My blog is all on domain names and you can access my blog by visiting www.domainer.me I hope that this info helps you a bit. :)

Have you had any success recently with your domain sales? What are some of the names sold?

If you use each featured domain on Sedo, how long does each domain get sold?

From what experienced domainers told me, unless your domain is really good, it's not worth paying for the Featured section.

    Why?

Is the featured worth to a $10,000+ domain?

It really depends on how strong your domain name is. Sometimes you have to spend money to make money. However, that being said, Sedo seems to be flooded with domain names and maybe you would have better luck through forums.
