I am curious as to why many DP'ers have multiple green boxes on their reps. I assume that each one represents a certain number of green rep points or maybe the length of time a member has been here. Does anybody know? How much rep does one have to recieve before another square shows up?
Old post on it made by Shawn in this thread. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=239&highlight=DigitalPoint+reputation It's kind of like PageRank... users vote for other user's reputation (by clicking on the scale), and it's weighted by how "important" they are within the forum. It works like this right now: Everyone starts with a reputation of 10 You can alter other people's reputation by 1 point by default For every 365 days after you register, your altering power increases by 1 For every 1,000 posts, your altering power also increases by 1 For every 100 reputation points that other's give you, your altering power increased by 1 User must have at least 50 posts before they can affect other's reputation You must have a reputation of 10 or higher to be able to affect others (it's 10 by default) You can alter up to 10 user's reputations per day You must alter different user's reputations before you can alter the same user's again Think there have been a few changes but this is the main idea.
Great explanation... So I assume that each additional block indicates the ability to alter anothers rep by one more point? For example a member with 5 blocks gives/takes 5 points?
no, it's a lady. we were saying of a Charlie ANgels team. Shannon (Smyrl), Summer, and someone else. S. Lady. EDIT: i remembered! it's sarahk. yup, that's her.
Not really, Its a very complex Mathematical Equastion, You need to go the upper Rep Grad uni to completely understand it.
To be honest I was wondering how this works too but were afraid to ask hehe because of all those red reps coming for reputation threads. Thanks for explanation
