Questions about Recurring Products as a Vendor/Publisher

    Hello All,

I am trying to get a product set up with recurring billing, where I will need to have affiliates paid each month from the recurring billing as well. I see that clickbank does recurring billing products. My questions to other vendors/publishers are:

    1. The content of my product will change monthly. It is a monthly newsletter for business owners to send out to their prospects, so each month the product that the person would download from the clickbank order thank you page will be different (because of course the newsletter content is changed monthly.) So each month, when new people join my program (purchase my product and start their recurring billing), the product that they purchase will need to be different than the product that the people who purchased the month before, and the month after, purchase. (Because the newsletter content is different each month.) Is that allowed by clickbank? I know they say no changes to the product are allowed after it's approved for recurring billing...

    2. How do I provide access to my customers to the monthly editions of the product after their initial purchase off of clickbank? Do I just give them access to the monthly editions off of my own site, and check my clickbank account for anyone who has canceled, so that I know to cancel their access to the monthly editions of the product on my website?

    3. If #2 above is the correct procedure, then when customers purchase the initial product through clickbank, will I receive their name and e-mail address so that I can inform them that the new monthly edition is available each month, and remind them to come to my site to download it?

Thanks so much! These technical details are so hard to get answers for, without waiting two days between each answer from clickbank. And for a non-techie like me, this kind of thing can completely kill a project for lack of knowing how to get it set up.

I don't think you should change the thank you page, it's way to complicated.
I have a much easier solution. The thank you page should have just the info for the first-time signups, do not change it.

A very simple way to solve your problem, would be set-up an aweber opt-in, and when the customer makes a purchase, he is onto your list.

After that, you just set-up follow up emails to send the monthly data to the customers. That way, once you set everything up, everything is automated, you don't have to change anything

Thanks Ripped! That makes perfect sense. I know this will be a stupid question, but I'm SUCH a newbie. Would your solution affect in any way clickbank getting my affiliates paid their recurring income each month?

I do this exact same method with one of my products and it works like a charm.

This forum is so great - I'm actually getting help! This method wouldn't affect my affiliates getting paid each month by clickbank for the recurring income, would it?

No, it won't affect your affiliates, they will get commission as usual

I agree - this is the best way to do it IMO.
