    Hi

I'm transferring from shared to hosting to a vps , it's a site containing a forum , I have some questions please

1- when sending a pm in the forum , it keeps loading for about 2 mins !(although loding the forum index is fast !) , and it was not that slow on the old server , and firefox says waiting , waiting for what lol ! :D , is there some way to make pages load faster , specially this page ?

2- I registered DNS and redirected my domain to the new server , but it redirects to /var/html/www/ , how can I change it to /var/html/www/folder1/folder2/ ?

3- it there a way to keep the ip of my server works also as an address (after applying question 2)

    i.e xx.xx.xx.xx/folder1/folder2/page.php
    mydomain.com/page.php

both work and open the same page , knowing that I have only 1 ip

    thanks in advance

    1) How much is your Guaranteed and Burstable RAM, use xcache and optimize mysql for better performance

    2) You can change the document root by editing the file httpd.conf, normally if it is a centos vps the location will be /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf. Search for your domain name and you should see the document root.

    3) Yes you can keep the ip as an address. create a separate virtual host entry for the domain name you have and only change the servername to ipaddress. This should work
