On occassion the URL of the page can affect SEO, so if this is the case it is worth having your landing page on a domain relevant to the topic you are being found for. If this isn't the case, I would suggest you keep the landing page oin your main domain, append it if you with with the search term (www domain com/search term ) and it should work just as well. The idea of the landing page is to offer search engines a page to read and get their teeth into that will bring good quality organic traffic, as well as offering a page the PPC sites will view as being highly relevant to the ad term, so they charge you less per click - while all the time selling off the page to any visitors you get through either medium. To create a page that doesn all three isn't easy, and frankly is rarely seen. If you find someone able to create it for you - pay what they ask as it'll be worth it in the long run. As a general rule of thumb though, we charge between £500 and £750 for a killer landing page which does all 3.
