    Hi,
Can anybody point me about google crawl rate/stats. Why do i see sudden rise and sudden fall of Google crawl rate in webmasters' crawl stats ? Is there a way we can control the crawl rate ? Does higher crawl rates mean faster indexing ?

Yes, higher crawl rates means faster indexing for your website you can achieve higher crawl rates but regularly updating your site with fresh content. Then Google will visit your website more often.

I am not sure why crawl rates so vary from time to time but I can see that for the most of my websites, so I believe it is normal

you can't control it, but you can keep adding new articles and inbound links to attract the crawler.

no one knows how and when google will crawl your site, but If you want to be index fast by Google you should update your content daily and at the same time make sure that your content is unique and eye catcher.
