Ok i am not an amazon affliate, lol, but ive been reading this forum, and once my site gets good traffic ima become one...

after they visit your affliate link even if they dont purchase what you link them to, if they see something else interesting and purchase it you get money right?

what if some goes to your affliate link and than exits out and then comes back to amazon in the same day. do you still get money? or no because he exited out or because its too long?

You are correct in both cases, you will receive credit for all of the sales you generate, they can leave the site and come back later in the day, make the purchase and you will receive a commission from it. It's a beautiful thing.

    thanks,

It works with a cooky on the buyer's browser.
Amazon sets it for 24 hours.

Yes , it depend on the cookies of the the visitors. But 24 hours is too short a time according to indigobean2003. Some affiliate program set the valid cookies more longer. Maybe several months.

This actually happens a lot to me, I get credit for products I never even promoted because the buyer had my cookie in their browser when they did their shopping on Amazon. ;)
