1. I signed up for Entrecard and grabbed the code and stuck it at the end of the code in my Sidebar. It says on my Entrecard CP that I'm signed up but I don't see any Entrecard widget on my Wordpress control panel under Widgets | Sidebar Arrangement. Did I do this correctly? Isn't there supposed to be an Entrecard widget option there to add/remove? 2. What is the best way to go about accepting/rejecting ads from other users? Is there any strategy involved?
I signed up for Entrecard and still don't even know what it is to this day. I think there should be something showing up if you implemented some code. Are you sure it's the correct code in the correct place? There should be some help files on there somewhere.
The banner is showing up in my sidebar, just not in the control panel under Widgets. Reading the directions on Entrecard, they make it sound like it's supposed to be an individual widget and not just some code you stick on your site. Anyone know what's up here?
Hey Shadow, I had to actually create a text widget, and insert the entrecard code they gave me into that widget, before moving that widget onto my blog. Despite it being massively overhyped I actually find that entrecard is a site that's continually sending me traffic. To start out, I paid someone to go on a big binge and drop my card on as many sites as they could to build credits. This put my site out there enough that now I get 20+ credits a day without doing anything and each week i buy a new ad on someone elses site. Not only are the ads generating clicks but the process of exchanging cards is putting me in touch with other webmasters in my niche. Damn I sound like an entrecard promo girl or something - definitely not intended. As for managing ads, I don't accept that many since I don't have to - but when I do, I just choose the site that looks like it provides the best info and so is the most valuable to my readers if the ad does happen to attract some of my traffic Hope that helps, Andrew
Very nice! Good idea with the text widget... I would have said the same thing, but I guess I was confused with what he was saying. Sounds like Entrecard is a good way to get some traffic! I'll have to check it out.
Here is an article you should checkout regarding the use of entrecard... Don't make the error of just throwing them up anywhere and create a good looking advert: http://www.thekaizenbusiness.com/?p=187
