i have a blogspot page which really isn't a blog. it's a site i want people to check out when they search google. there are similar blogspot pages i want to compete with. (I) i have read the phrase 'new/unique content' quite a bit since i started doing research about page listings. what exactly is 'new/unique content'...is it as simple as a new blog post? i could create new blog posts, but i don't want new posts at the top i could remove all new posts and repost them so they appear the way i want them to look, would that constitute new content? and how does google know that it's new and unique? here are some notes on the pages i'm trying to compete with: - they are also blogspot pages with no new additons or new/unique content - although one page makes minor adjustments within the body of the page) - one page has a ton of backlinks (the others do not) (II) i'm still not 100% up to date on home page crawling and when/how google accesses my pages. i have four similar sites which i all created at the same time (10/13/07) according to google, these are the dates they were last accessed: page 1 - 10/13 page 2 - 11/19 page 3 - 12/05 page 4 - 11/20 i have one separate page that i created last year which ranks pretty high, it was last accessed on 12/07. i don't add content (blog posts) to any of my pages. but when i tinker with the layout and how things look, i update all the pages at the same time. why the different dates? thanks for whatever help you guys can give me. -dan
