Howdy all! I just started my t-shirt website Shirt Fight, and have begun to do some research on becoming joining an Affiliate program as a merchant. I'm currently in the process of getting a good photographer/models for my shirts so they will be appealing to potential customers, but after that I have questions: 1. What Affiliate programs are good for selling t-shirts? So far i've found Shareasale and CJ. 2. Why is CJ a LOT more expensive than Shareasale? 3. Is it best to stick with one Affiliate program, or be a vendor for several? I assume the more the merrier but i wanted to check. 4. Will i have to do a lot of my own marketing for my Affiliate program, or will affiliates just pick it up and run with it on their own? 5. Any other tips before i dive on in? Thanks!
I has not much experience with networks but I would recommend Affiliate Future. I communicated with their manager and would have joined them myself if I planned to join any network. Check their rates. I think no one knows your product better than you do. So you should at least advise your affiliates how to promote it... However if you join a network, you won't have a lot to do, I think. Good luck, Ann
There are a bunch of other networks. We are using clixGaloe with some success. Shareasale is also pretty good. CJ is expensive. Try to stick with one or two affiliate rograms as you will start to get double tracking issues which are a pain. The network you join will get some affiliates for you. That's no reason to be lazy. Go out and recruit more yourself too!
hi shirtfight. If you are looking to place your shirt ads on diiferent sites then you can try text link ads. You just have to purchase an ad package from them for a month and dont have to worry about clicks or impressions. Moreover you can also choose the sites on which you want to display your ads, from thier directory(thier directory also have sites about apparel shopping) And yes before choosing a site on which you wnt to display your ads you can check the alexa rating for individual sites!!! I think this is really a neat feature. Alexa ratings are the ratings for determining how much tarffic a site gets. You can also check out on how many pages of that site your ads would appear. If you want more clarifications go ahead ask me. You can check the link in my signature.
And yes as you have got no ads on your website I suggest you get some. That would help you to get some money which you can use to run your site. If you want to run ads on ur site u can check out link ads.( link in my signature). I suugest every site owner should have ads on their sites. wat say ppl?
go for AF, they will assist you with in every possible way. i personally feel that they have got the best support...
A very bad idea. If a Merchant site has ads on it, as well as it's own affiliate program then no self respecting affiliate will every pick them up. It's know as "traffic leakage"
