Rep added for helpful members. I want to register an .asia domain but I am not sure where is the best place and cheapest place. I have checked my preferred .asia domain at godaddy and its still available but if a register is there a chance that it will be going to an auctio and I will lose cause I don't have a big budget? Please help me on this. thanks
EuroDNS.com is the cheapest if you use a bonus code, then it is 4 EURO. Currently all registered domains with more than one person trying to register it will go to auction BUT it is only the persons who have tried to register it that can participate in the auction. So the only way you can get the domain is to register it, hope that no one else does it and if so then it will be awarded to you directly without going to auction. Hope that clears up things for you
Are .asia domains only for residents/companies in that area? Or it depends from the registrar? Thanks
You need to have one of the contact to be a resident in an asian country. Either you can get that yourself or you can use a company like EuroDNS that provides this for free (they have an Korean company also that does this for them).
When i talked with support i got the information that 5% of the payment they take as credit card fee. The rest could be returned.
why am in not able to register a .asia domain name today. I thought its open to general public registrations from 20th Feb. So whats the catch now? Do we still have to battle it out in the auction? if its all auction based, then why such a big hype. Give it away to the big boys.
If you want you can register this through our website IDNRS.com if it is not taken over by GoDaddy itself. We have freezed prices thanks and regards, toniya
It is still in auction mode. The last auction phase started today on the 20th Feb. You can register, but if other also do that you have to compete against them in an auction
So if I register one , will I get refund if I dont want to participate in the auction? I am talking about registering in godaddy. best regards digital duke
Yes, godaddy will refund your money if you do not win the auction. I do not know if they refund to your account at godaddy or your credit card though... Guessing your godaddy account
Where did you get the info that EuroDNS will be a contact for free so non asia ties can register a domain?
If you try to register a domain without providing an asian contact you will see this information. I have several domains i have tried to register and i also have asian contacts that i could use but easier to use their contact.
if I register a domain at eurodns and it goes to auction and I don't win the auction, do I get my money back or do I lose it?
