    Is it free to create an amazon account and do you need to verifies with a credit card to use gift certificates/coupons?

    It's free to create an account. Nope, you don't need to do that. If you only have gift certificate balance, you can pay directly with that.

    Gift certificates buyed from amazon.ca you can use only at amazon.ca and certificates buyed at amazon.com can be only used on amazon.com.
