Alright guys, So currently I have a blog up and running, and have just gotten back into the swing of promoting and writing for it after a short hiatus. I have however been thinking about my next endevour...so it seems like I'm back at square one again. My question to is regarding Google AdWords. Instead of a blog, where I must gain a strong following and hope that my banners are clicked and my shop is browsed, I am looking into just the standard Landing Page/Pre Sale....then checkout. With this method its more about SEO and getting in the top results for your target keywords...and i understand this can be very difficult. My question is in ad words....what is generally a good amount of search volume for my keywords? Should i look at Exact, Phrase, Broad also what is a generally "safe" amount of competitveness I know that I dont want to dive into super competitive keywords. FOLLOW UP QUESTION Is the comptetiveness rating ...among all websites keywords on the web...or among the AdWords PPC customers? say I want to sell weight loss pills....the search term "weight loss pills" is hugely competitive but also has a lot of monthly search volume...because im going to be paying for ppc...does that mean if someone types "weight loss pills" My site gets the sponsered link at the top?? ...so i would want to choose those keywords super competitve key words ( i understand i wouldnt want to use weight loss pills as my keywords REGARDLESS since it doesnt embody a direct target perhapes something like "weight loss pills for sale online" or " cheap weight loss pills online" since these searches imply the person is ready/willing to buy.)
