Questioning the AdSense stats

I am not going to dispute here what big G pays or should have paid or how many clicks was/wasn't counted as I don't think there is a reasonable tool to actually verify what shows up in the AdSense stats money-wise. Ie. take it or leave it kind of thing.

But what about page/ad impressions? I mean few sites of mine each with dedicated AdSense channel, every so often do not report any AdSense impressions for a couple of days.

Now of course it could be that nobody visits them but I am positive (and actually have a Google Analytics stats proof of it) that these site were indeed visited by number of people in each of those days.

So I wonder does any of you have similar experience? Ie. not showing ANY ad impression counts in the daily AdSense report for a site which has been definitely viewed by number of visitors?

Ok guys without further talk now I would like to show you exactly what am I on about:

So these are the stats from MyBlog log account for the blog in question:

And this is what shows up for the corresponding period in the AdSense stats:

Can anyone more AdSense experienced pls tell me what is going on? Are the MyBlog log stats that much off target? To date they were pretty reliable from my observations.

Is this 960 vs 942? I'm not familiar with MyBlog Logs.

Well I am more about the click counts. You can see in the right column within the MyBlog log stats outging clicks. It shows 41 clicks on the only AdSense 160x600

skyscraper being displayed on the blog.

Yet in AdSense stats you see all up 1 single click for that same day.

EDIT: oh yes I am now actually referring to the clicks even though I said in my opening post I would not do so :). But since the potential difference is so large I think it still makes for a valid argument.

Maybe there is the same problem with programs like AdLogger--rollevers count. If rollovers count, there will be a huge difference in stats.

am sorry to say but MyBloglog is not a tracking tool. It records clicks such as mouseover, which isnt a click for adsense.

Stop trusting a third party tool such as mybloglog (owned by yahoo) to tell you how many clicks you registered on your account.

If you seriously feel that adsense is not counting your impressions, send them a email.

Well I do not expect MyBloglog to be accurate but as stated above, from the past I found it fairly close to the "real thing" showing up in AdSense stats. Not lately though.

But if it is as you guys seem to suggest ie. it does count the rollovers than fair enough. That is why the less knowledgeable ask the questions here.

Yes I was considering sending them an email once I'd found that someone else is seeing the same things and its not just me misinterpreting what I think I see.

JKoll, a reason for finding a bigger gap in numbers now vs before can be because of many issues. A couple that come to mind is:

    1) AdSense changing what is and what is not a clickable area - Click For More Info
    2) More traffic
    3) Invalid clicks

The one that's probably doing it the most is click able area change.

Any other questions, feel free to ask ;). I've also been taking care of personal AdSense questions through PMs... lol. Had about 50-60 PMs in the last 2-3 weeks from DP alone.
