If I had a website about the game Zelda, lets say it's called ZeldaSite. Then in the title tags of all the pages it had: ZeldaSite Zelda Network. Then I link build using a anchor of: ZeldaSite Zelda Network. Would the site rank for ZeldaSite, and the general word Zelda? Would I have to seperate the keywords, and use differnt anchors? Thanks, BlueEew.
Yes the site would rank..but if you have competitors that have better optimizes sites for those keywords than it would not rank as high. The key is to make sure you are getting plenty of relevant backlinks that support your niche.
I know all the over nessorsary needs. I just needed to know if the way I was doing the title tags was okay.
build more backlinks as you can even though its not related to your niche as long as high on pr it also counts.
For another example. See my signature link. "PokeProject Pokemon Network". If I was to develop it using that as the anchor. Would the website rank for the word Pokemon as I build it's links?
I would probably suggest your signature link or anchor text is more accurate on the words you want to target. If you want to target Pokemon make is Pokemon. The longer text may work also I just feel getting it more specific may help.
First... ask yourself: is that KWs that you'll use will have hits? As for me, it is useless to have good SERP in a KW that only FEW search for it.
The fewer keywords in a anchor text, the better. For example, if you were trying to rank for Zelda you might be better of trying to build all your bank links for purely that keyword. Though, researching your keyword always helps first.
