Ok guys, it is said that placing images by the ads increaseses the chance of visitors clicking the ads. having said that, to not violate google's TOS a line is advice to be placed between the image and ads, right? Ok, so what if your ads have borders? Do you still have to have a horizontal or vertical line between the image and ads although the ads have a border? Also, how do you create a vertical line using HTML? Ok, enough, thanks in advance guys..

First of all, why do u use bordered ads? To achieve the best possible CTR, a borderless ad is nessecary. Second, u can create a vertical line by creating an vertical image and using it as background, or by CSS using border-left/border-right.

I don't think you need another border if your ads already have a border, the one that comes with the Google Adsense code.

Irregardless, e-mail them to be sure, but I'm sure it has been done before by a couple big sites.

This is a pretty general advice, but have you thought diffrent things might work diffrent for diffrent sites? You have to try a few things until you hit what really works bro...

the best ad format depends on your web page. bordered ads may be better for you but what if google doesnt allow ads with pictures. im not sure but you'd better ask them to be sure.
