OK since Im constantly previewing my pages and making sure things are going as planed on a regular basis to my site...thats lowering my CTR because im not clicking on any ad's. since my CTR is definitely getting lowered, will this effect my income? for some reason i have a feeling each time my CTR goes down...so will my revenue.. thanks for the help -Tim
A few things that effect your income: Viewership CTR CPC Increase any of the three and your income goes up. Also, they all have max/min values based on your website, and they all work together.
so how can i work around that? i mean i need to view my site on a regular basis... i dont wan to lower my income if i view my site.. :/
I dont think you viewing your site should impact your CTR unless you only have a few visitors. In which case you can use some php to display your ads on the condition its not your IP surfing the page. However i would concentrate on getting more visitors rather than not showing ads to yourself.
thanks for the replies, good point, i can see what you mean tho, i average about 250 uniques/ 600 page views a day,..and by me looking through the site alot, it can definitely show a CTR reflection of my views,.. once i build my traffice, should the CTR increase more rapidly? like what i mean is,..i shouldnt be worried about me lowering my CTR right now correct? -Tim
Well if you have to visit your site it will increase impressions and lower your CTR, but these things make no difference to your income. Clicks *CPC = income so don't even worry about your imps/ctr
I agree... I dont think it will affect your income. Your CTR is lowered indeed, but it just a matter of stats.
