OK... me and a buddy were having a debate about SEO's we know. (we both been in the industry for 5 to 6 years now) Anyway... we were debating on who do you think is the *Best SEO* you know of??? I would love to hear other people's thoughts on this subject. Our list was pretty much narrowed down to 3 or 4 people. You can also look at it this way: If you were going to hire an SEO.... who would that be???
There is a vast number of people calling themselves search engine optimizers. I don't think it's easy to choose the "best SEO", people might tell you about someone they've had a positive experience with. Anyway, who are those 4 people? And how did you choose them? (Based on what)
Well, I guess I'd choose people by a combination of what they seem to know - i.e. what they write, and how their own sites do in searches (though that's not necessarily an indication of what they do for their clients - I wouldn't want to hire an seo who spent more of his efforts on promoting himself than the clients) So - Rand Fishkin of Seomoz, Lisa Barone of Bruce Clay, Danny Sullivan of Search Engine Land - for my fourth - I'm torn between Ann Smarty and Michael Gray
