What's good in not indexed or no PR or PR0 Social bookmarking pages? sometimes we see a good social bookmarking site but he's poor in SEOing his internal pages, and because of that most of those internal pages have PR0 or N/A. What do you think?
If it's non-indexed PR zero, there won't be any benefit UNLESS it's dofollow. Nowadays, webmasters tend to go for dofollow social bookmarks so that it would at least contribute a backlink.
but even if it's do-follow the contribution of it as a link would be minimal. i mean the only possible reasson to use it as a PR0/n/a back link would be to create a natural back link environment from all PR's
If its a free link, and costs nothing, what's the harm? As long as the page gets indexed, it has some value, even if it is much less then a PR 0. Also, user profiles can and do gain PR. I've seen some nice PR 5 profiles, but those were on popular SB sites. Balancing a backlink profile is more then just getting a variety of PR links. Balancing also comes from getting backlinks from multiple sources.
PR0 indexed pages - a link is always a link, no matter of the PR. Non indexed pages have no value in Google. However they might be indexed in Yahoo or Live and help you there
If it's a no follow, then maybe the backlink has less value, however the listing itself can still rank in the search engines, which means ultimately people can find your website via the social bookmarking site. I've had heaps of success with this method. Remember lots of social bookmarking sites have authority, and tend to be indexed quicker by google, and at a higher position in the search engines (at least initially). I can personally vouch for this. Cheers
well people are doing such social bookmarking submissions for $12 for 100 so I don't think there is anything wrong it if you are even getting 200 people in 1 year. The problem is, such links have almost zero value. I often uses this in forums, "that the harder it is to get the link, the more valuable it is"
