Hi, I've been reading up some content here... The one thing I'm a bit unsure about is, should I go for a "Blog, Website or Forums"? I know the work done should be hard for anything would be a great help but just for the curiosity, does any of these have a edge among themselves? Regards, Moin
Why not go for both? A blog can be implemented on the same domain as a forum - same with a regular site. You could implement all of them on one domain name. But if you were to create a blog, then I'd recommend wordpress.
That is a good idea but technically come to think of it, the priority would be splitted. What I believe is (My own experience) - that if you visit a website, say "Yahoo" to check mails, you'll probably end by reading your inbox and signing off after a mere look at what's happening on the main page. So if yahoo can read up my intentions, it'll prolly do a fancy job at the mail folders by providing some good links etc there, hence more chance for me to click there. Secondly, the content would be a bit messy.. As this is going to be a totally new thing, I think it's better off to maintain one thing instead of jumping on to multiple aspects. Just my 2 cents - I'm not sure if I'm right or wrong.. (That's where the pro's - YES YOU - come in). Moin
Moin, I think it will all depend upon the usability and what kind of image you want to create in the market. Each has got a different use altogether with a common motive of getting visitors. A blog is a place where you can mention all sorts of things that may come up to your mind. It is not based on any particular theme. Whereas a website is theme based and it requires you to clearly specify the goal to visitors and what is the site meant for. A forum is a place where you may find experts and discuss about various topics. So frankly it will all depend upon what is the purpose then accordingly you may proceed.
