    Respected D.P. admin,

I was quite surprised seeing that I got a warning with the following text: "Running Up Post Count/Post Has No Value". As buy my best knowledge I didn't violated in any way D.P.'s using terms, please let me know why you gave me the warning?

    The warning is related to:http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=1586204

    Thank you!
    Zolink

I gave it to you. It's only a warning so I'm not going to spend much time on explaining it but here's the short of it.

Don't you think the OP knows he's got a PM? Would you like your postman to ring the doorbell, just to say to you when yuo open the door that he slipped a letter through the letter box?

Ask yourself this... Is that really necessary, telling someone the obvious? Shall I PM you now, to say I replied to this?

    Get my point?

    Good to know.

Zolink --> Thanks for bringing this one up so, we are learning from your experience. And I have to admit, I did one or two.

Zolink don't feel bad, as you did not do it intentionally. And at the same time you are helping lot of us.

And I am in US the post man do not ring the bell but if we get a Fedex or UPS they do ring the bell and leave the envelop at the door. -- Just a note.

    Thanks

He shouldn't feel bad anyway because a warning doesn't affect him/her in any way, no one can see it and knows about it (until now) and it has no effect on his/her ability to participate in the forums. Even when you get ten thousand warnings, you still won't be banned.

PS Glad to hear I'll be remembered for that legendary sentence  :D

    T0PS3O,

Thank you for letting me know your reason. I have to tell you that I am learning by browsing the D.P. forum, so this quite poor sentence "P.M. has been sent." I learned from others. This reply is traditional often-used on this forum.

My point is that, in this case, I did only what others [100s..] did before me - i.e.: I learned from them. If anyone will give a search on D.P. would see that this is a fact. Therefore, I was surprised seeing that I am warned because a generalised practice.

On the other hand, your arguments are 100% logic and, of course, I'll consider them.

    Thank you for your time!

    TOPS30,

On the other hand, I am not sure that you has the moral authority to teach any of us on this forum about "how to behave", as long as under your user name appears the following text: "Ce-i căcatu' ăsta?" which, in English, means: "What's this shit".

    No problem!

You are quite right, a lot of people got into this useless habit. That's why a lot of people get warnings, or real infractions if they over do it. Just reminders really which eventually (hopefully) lead to a better place for all!

If you ever watch shows like 'America's Most Dangerous Car Chases' or 'America's Wildest Police Video's' you will have seen those riots where everybody starts looting once someone throws a brick through a shop windows. Yes, everybody does it, but that doesn't make it right.

    No problemo!

That 'shit' stuff is just an ongoing joke I have here with someone - that word doesn't have any bad vibe in English anymore but not being a Romanian expert, if you tell me it's not appropriate where you are I'll happily remove it.
