I want to ask a question that I am a blogger new in copywriting, when I write a review about any product like LG, Nokia, Apple mobile or Iphone then I Have to place an image of the product(iphone, smartphone or mobile etc) on my blog and generally all the companies have their trademarks on their products. 1. So My question is if I place these images on my blog for a review then i am violating any copyright law? 2. If I place a logo of any company Like Google, Yahoo, Apple, Nokia, LG, HTC, Samsung etc, Do these Logos of different companies Subjects to any violation of the law? 3. If I use any image that i found from Images.google.com , google say that this image may subjects to copyright, So if i use these image then I am violating COPYRIGHT LAW? 4 How to find copyright issue free images from the web? Thank you In Advance.
Do some research on what's called 'fair use'. It allows for reviews to utilize sections of original text and photographs for 'review' purposes. If I were doing it, I would get my pictures from the manufacturer rather than searching Google images because I doubt you could argue fair use if you use someone else's personal pictures of their own gadgets. Since you're asking, Google images are not owned by Google and are almost always protected by Copyright. You should never utilize Google image search as a source for images to use for your own purposes.
From the Manufacturer site, I can't understand What you are calling Fair use, Can you plz Explan. I am Still not satisfied Can some one still help
You're also in the wrong forum. Try legal. Â If you don't understand WHY you are in the wrong forum, Â use a dictionary to see if you can tell the difference between 'copyright' and 'copywriting'
"fair use" is a legal term relating to copyright, reviews and what copyright material can be used without permission. Google it and copyright to understand how it applies to what you want to do. If you are in the US, there's a ton of information on copyright.gov. Look for the equivalent information from your own country. If you are talking about an Apple iPhone - go to the Apple site to get a picture - Apple is the manufacturer. Use of their photo would probably be covered under fair use. Use of a photo you find on images.google.com would not be covered by fair us. If you use Google images you will be violating copyright law probably 99% of the time.
