Hello, I am a freelance web designer... I want to get a 2checkout account. But before I pay them $50, I want to know answers to some curiosities, from experienced users. I want to accept PayPal money into my 2checkout account.... Here are the questions, that I need answer to: 1) Do I need to have a registered Company, in order to create a 2CO account? I'm a freelance web designer, I don't own a registered company. 2) How will I accept Payments from PayPal? As a freelancer, the payments I receive are never the same. Will I have to create a new service page for every payment I want to receive? Any help would greatly be appreciated!
You can use their online chat to ask questions before signing up. You must have a ecommerce website to signup for 2checkout. They will review your website before approving the account. 2Checkout offers paypal as a payment method.
Yes, they provide online chat support on their homepage. Just initiate the cha session and ask your queries.
You don't need to have a registered company to open 2CO account, but you'll need to explain them (in the process of appliaction) what are your intentions- what kind of goods and services you are goint go sell on your website. It doesn't have to be too comprehensive. I've explained them that I wanted to use 2CO for selling ad space on my website, and got the account approved.
HPA, When you initially signup at 2checkout, you have to specify your website. Once approved they will let you start taking payments on your account. They monitor which site the payment is comming from by checking the referrer agent. They also keep checking what you are selling from time to time. If you are a freelancer, make a site containing all the services you offer and build a payment page. Then signup for a 2CO account and tell them that you want to accept payments for the services your render on that site. Talker.
What about http://www.fastspring.com/ , They don't take money to register. I was a vendor at 2co. Now I get the same service from FS. Becuase they allow to use same account for multiple sites. Good luck Blog.
If your talking about other alternatives, Plimus.com would be a good choice. They allow multiple sites as well as accept paypal.
