I have a question, say a top tier domain i want is taken. Lets say widgets.com I was wondering if were to buy widgetswidgets.com and use some decent s.e.o. on the site if theres a good chance i will get highly indexed for the word widgets? Now what if it were two words such as filetknives and i bought filetknivefiletknives.com (just example)

I look forward to your feedback, will google penalize a site that does this or can it actually work with some good s.e.o?

I would use widget1.com or filet-knives.com it looks better the key words are there.

    how about a different extension?

Which performs better if both sites have equal seo -

xkeyword.com where x is a letter or number, before or after the keyword or
keyword.net where net could be another extension.

how do the search engines look at each extension? What domain would work best?
