Can someone explain to me why hyphenated domains are greatly undervalued when compared to premium domain names. I understand that they will be in less value than a premium due to the radio advertising aspect but this is the only critera I can see that is different. Surely this cannot have such a dramatic drop in valuation? When you perform a search on google for a premium domains keywords or keywords with a hyphen, they return the same results so they have the same attributes regarding SEO. Can someone explain this to me please?
supply and demand. widgetstore and widgetreviews will almost always be taken. widget-store and widget-reviews? much more likely to be free. ... when you start moving into super-widget-store.info, things get much worse, obviously
I think that putting hyphens in is just plain lazy. There is usually always a suitable domain available without using a hyphen. It just takes some creative thinking to come up with it.
