I have made a few Clickbank sales using Blogger blogs. So, I'm going to try my luck with Squidoo. As a rule, how long does it usually take for a lens to get indexed on Google? ~MLS
I've had some indexed inside of a few hours. Don't know if that's the rule or if I just got lucky a few times.
My Squidoo lenses get indexed within 24 hours. Include your target keywords in the URL, Title and in the first few phrases (in bold letters) of the intro module.
Squidoo lenses are usually indexed fast by major search engines or you can submit your lens to social bookmarking websites like Digg and stumbleupon.
The trick to getting indexed fast with squidoo is to build up a some backlinks on the lens..i.e. squidoo lens directories..and use the rss feed to submit out to various rss agg sites.. Doing it this way you should see your squidoo page gets indexed in a few days or so, it really depends on how big of a squidoo user you are. If you have many many lenses then the spiders will visit your lensmaster page often and you'll find it alot easier to get those squidoo pages ranked and indexed.
Some very good suggestions here. I have a few Squidoo lenses, but need to make more. Great to hear that the more you have, the more quickly they get indexed. It has taken over a week for mine to get Googled in the past.
Great information here, guys. My squidoo lenses sometimes have difficulty publishing for some reason. But when they DO get up and "live", I usually notice them being indexed within a day or two at the most. I've had some trouble with Hubpages because they're so very fussy about backlinks. So I'm still working on that angle.
Sometimes a lens will get indexed faster if you ping it. No guarantee though. If your lens is stuck in WIP, you either need to add more modules, or wait a day.
I havn't tried squidoo for things other than just link building. But I think Squid casts also have something to do with faster and better indexing.
