    Hello friends,

I am having one question regarding forwarding the url for parking.

There are two options to park your domains.
    1. Transfer the dns.
    2. Forward the url.

Now I have tried the second option for parking my domain that is forwarding the url to parking company. I am using namedrive so I have forwarded my domain to www.ndparkingcom/domainname.com.

Now is it necessary to use my registrar company's DNS when I am forwarding the url ?

I have my domain registered at namecheap. They dont allow me forward or redirect the domain until I set my DNS to their own DNS.

I want to ask that it is not possible to forward the url to parking company using different DNS than its registrar ?

I need some more explanation in details about this.

    Thanks

Most registrar services have an option to forward your domain to any given URL while keeping the registrar's DNS.

I have never registered a domain with namecheap, so can't tell you anything else about it, but if they are providing you with a parking page, something that other registrars also offer, you can add to that page a meta refresh redirection to the URL or create a framed page.

Otherwise wait for someone using namecheap ;)

Thats what I am telling. I have to use registrar's DNS if I want to forward or redirect my url to parking company. Is this right ?

Is it possible to forward url to parking company without using registrar's DNS (using other DNS)?

I haven't used Namecheap, but I think that you might have the DNS & Nameservers confused.

You would need to change your Nameservers to the ones given to you by the parking company.

I think nameservers and DNS are the same terms.

I dont want to change nameservers. I want to redirect the domain (2nd method of parking).
