I did drop when seoc*** decided not to give links in sigs <100 posts (about 5 places) - that was the only change that was made - and it was thru the dance, so more anecdotal proof that forums work
I believed that if the page where the back link located is no longer access or have less page view, the BL will no longer be credited to you.
