Question regarding clickbank cookie - disappear after 1 day?

Hi, yesterday I use my hoplink to link to one of my clickbank vendor site. Then, I went to order page to ensure that I can see my clickbank ID as an affiliate. It did show below. I was sure that I would receive fees from this link.

Today, I go to order page again but my affiliate id at the bottom of the page is blank. Is this normal? I know that cookie lasts 60 days. Is my id supposed to show at the bottom at the page for 60 days?

I had made that test and noticed that the cookie stays for a long time. Don't know how long, but 2 days is quite short. I guess it should be 60 days.

Sometimes you have to check your antivirus/antispyware software. Some of them are setup to delete cookies. Also your browser settings could make it so that your cookie doesn't last long.

I would try it in a different browser - eg- firefox instead of ie. And then try it w/ your antivirus software turned off.

If you're still having trouble w/ that link you may want to get someone else to give it a try. I don't think that there's a way for the merchant to delete your cookie - they could over-write it with a clickbank id of their own, but I don't think that they can out right delete a cookie.

Also - here's a tool that let's you see the cookies on your computer. You can use your hoplink and then keep an eye on when the cookie disappears - here's the link:

If you have a product that can write your potential users' cookies, then no matter when they make purchase, the clickbank will pay you. How do you think about that?

I already use your tool but how to find specific cookies of clickbank. I couldn't file any file with name clickbank or vendor name. Is there any special name format for that cookies?

If you have spybot search and destroy, it will block the cookie (and therefore it will only be on until you restart your browser). You could also have a setting to clear history/temporary files/cookies each day as I have my browsers set on my personal computer.
