I am looking into purchasing Relevant One Way Permanent Text links. I've dabbled a bit in reciprical linking, but never purchasing links. My goal is to increase my SERP's and ultimately my traffic. Are there any risks to purchasing these types of links? I'm looking to keep a very conservative approach to my SEO. I'd like to get higher rankings, but I don't want to do anything that would jeopardize my site's existing rankings. TIA
how would SE's know if its purchased or not? incoming links can never hurt you, only linking out to the wrong site (like link farms)
Buying links is a very comforting way to build up links. I would use some of the bigger name link advertisers like text-link-ads.com and textlinkbrokers.com . If you feel, after that, that you're skilled in finding good relevant links to purchase, then I would hunt down other webmasters who don't really do any advertising on their site and see if you can strike up a deal. Good way to get really good links for cheap. I've purchased lots of links from a variety of sites. Works everytime.
You should buy from only trusted sites. Also, do some searches on the web about the site before you close the deal. It may help you to understand if the site is in to something shady.
I noticed that you mentioned that you have never purchased links. As a trial, you can purchase the link for an internal page of your site rather than your home page. It will help you to check out and track the spider activity benefits and other advantages you get because of the link purchase. Hope that helps.
I did read however that purchasing a zillion links at the same time could have an adverse effect on the ranking of ones site since the big G looks upon this as "unnatural" link development...
