question regarding blogger site sale

I enjoy using blogger quite a bit to make sites and would like to use it to make unique content niche sites.

Here is how I would imagine doing it, I was wondering if this is the normal way of doing things or if someone could point me in the right direction.

I'd build the site, auction if off, etc. Then to transfer it I would push the domain name via namecheap and then ask the seller to set up a unique google account for that site. They'd put some generic password on it that I could access it, I'd go in and transfer everything through the Blogger interface and set it up the same way I had it. Then when I'm done they could change their password and I would delete that blog from my site.

Is this a normal or at least acceptable way of transferring a blogger site?

    Thanks for the help.

    Tim

Maybe I misunderstood the post but if the site is already indexed, there would be a problem in transferring the site this way. The person would lose the indexing when the site was transferred to the new domain.

Like I said, maybe that is not what you meant. Also, maybe the sites won't be old enough to be indexed.

You can't sell Bloggers services....you can sell the content and domain name as far as I know. Those are not Bloggers they are yours, but you might want to reread the tos.

Here is another way much easier. Invite the person to be an author of the blog, all you need is their email address. Once they accept, you can promote them to admin status. Once they are admin they can remove you as an author. You would still have to push the domain name.

Make an account for every blog and give the buyer the whole account.

Sorry I guess I was a little too ambiguous in my post.

I'm interested in selling the content. So my thinking was build the site and I'll have it already redirected to another domain name. After I build the content I'd sell the site, or what I really mean sell the content. So I would push the domain name to the person then give them the full rights to the content. I guess content is a better word to use than site.

I think this is okay, isn't it? Then I would just transfer the content to them. I thought maybe the best way to do this would be to access whatever account they want me to and I could put it on for them. And I'd defintely understand them not wanting me to access their main account, so I figured they would create their own specific account for it that didn't have any sensitive information in it, then I could put it in there, and they could change their password afterwards.

I thought about making the own specific account my self for each blog I would want to sell, but then I wouldn't know what information for name and so forth to enter in while I was creating the account, since I couldn't know the buyer beforehand. I guess it's not a big deal putting in that info though but some people may think so I don't know.

I like the idea of setting someone to administrator then just letting them remove me as one, I hadn't seen that option yet as I'm fairly new to Blogger. I think that's the best idea for this. So...it's perfectly acceptable to do everything that way then isn't it? Just wanted to make sure I was doing everything right.

    Thanks for the feedback everyone.
