Question regarding Adsense Referals

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by Lee Rees, Mar 28, 2007.

I am running a revenue sharing forum and in order to get people to signup i am sending them to a html page to click on the adsense link so i get the credit.

The problem is this is ultimately going to give me a very high CTR as the page will only be visited by people who are definatly going to click the join adsense link.

    Am I violating Googles TOS?

I think if you force users to click the ads, it violates the TOS.

You can recommend Adsense, and say that you use it. But don't tell your visitors to click on your link :) My guess is that if you have a page to explain your revenue sharing and then place a button at the bottom of the page, people that are interested will most likely click it, give it a go and good luck!

I think that he talks about the Adsense referal link, not the actual AdSense ads. You have to check Google's TOS to make suret that what you are doing is not in violation.

    Cheers!

That's a point - Lee_Rees please make clear whether you mean you're getting your visitors to click on content ad units or an adsense referral button so you can the referral fee when they sign up to adsense?

Oh ok - sorry I got the wrong end of the stick!

Well in your opening post you said you're getting people to go to a page where there's a referral link button right? I think that would be fine as you are just providing the link, you're not forcing them to do anything. If they want to join they are provided with a link, if they don't they can just leave it alone. :)
