Good day - I hope this is in the right forum... If I want to use a two-word keyword/keyphrase, can I simply single-quote the keyphrase, like this - <meta name="keywords" content= " 'New York', then the rest of the keywords..."> or do I have to have a separate line for the keyphrase, like this - <meta name="keywords" content= " the rest of the keywords..." > <meta name="keywords" content= " 'New York' " > I'm attempting to make keywords dynamic, for about 60 pages. I can write a script to do this either way. I just don't want to take what looks like the easy way (single-quotes) only to discover that the words and phrases can't be read by the spiders. Many thanks in advance. Steve E.
You can have it all in a single line separated by commas and I don't think you need to single-quote any of those. Moreover, Google and other major search engines no longer are interested in the meta keywords tag. A good enough content on the page with proper keyword density will serve your purpose.
Good morning, and thank you. I've read that the tag is far less important than in the past; I didn't want to ignore it, though, and I surely didn't want to do anything that would further limit the already minimized usefulness of the tag and keywords. Plus, I'm pretty new at this so I'm "catching up", knowledgewise. Thank you again; have a happy and safe New Year! Steve E.
