Question on using google adwords with CJ

First of all, I am new to this forum(just joined today).
I was wondering, can use the links that you get from cj in google adwords?

What I mean is, instead of directing visitors to my site, I direct them directly to the merchant site.

    Example:
I find a merchant I want to promote.
I go to my CJ account, get the merchant's link
I then go to my adwords account and create an ad.
I make up an ad related to the product
    I bid on keywords
In the display url I put merchant's website
In the destination url I put the link I got from CJ
    Thats it.

So I would like to to know if its OK to do it or not.

The reason I am asking this is that adwords reports that I got 2 clicks on my ad, but when I look for those clicks in my cj account, I cannot see them.

it is ok with adwords and with cj BUT you must read each advertisers terms and conditions. some do not allow you to display their url in adwords but a lot do, so you must check each advertiser that you sign up with. usually in their keyword link section.

    good luck

MOST merchants will not allow this as you are putting their URL in your ads, and fear of trademark bidding. The best method is adwords > landing page (your site) > merchant site.

I read the terms, and I do not bid on the keywords that were not allowed.

I got 4 clicks so far but I cannot see them in CJ.

Can anyone here tell me how can I run the report to see the impressions?

You can't see them in CJ. CJ tracks impressions by that 1x1 image you see in the normal text link code. You'll have to track through AdWords.

Never mind guys, I figured out how to see the clicks in cj.
So far, 7 clicks and 0 sales. but for 5 cents a click, I think all is good, right?

7 clicks is not enough to be worried about. Perhaps once you get to 100+ clicks and still 0 sales then I would start looking things over. 200-300 clicks definitely time to start changing things. Just from personal experience. :)

Well, my first experience with cj was not good, I am out 16 bucks on adwords. I had about 200 clicks on one merchant and nada, no sales. Perhaps it isn't such a good idea to advertise new merchants, ey?

Yeah I think some merchants are afraid of affiliates outbidding them on adwords! I haven't really experimented much with PPC. I guess I'd rather learn all the free ones first;)

How do you prevent invalid clicks by using using adwords pointing to the the url (Landing page) of publisher. I thought you had to define a website (under your account website settings) for link that you promote

I agree with DealWorx about clicks and conversions.
