    www.stumbleupon.com
sign up, get the toolbar, add some friends.
look in the Freebies section, where people exchange stumbles.

    1. Install SU toolbar
    2. 'Stumble' your site
    3. Wait

    Not exactly rocket science ;)

In my opinion, this kind of traffic is useful only for some general websites... For example i have a couple of regional travel-related websites. Stumbling one page sometimes gives me 150-200 unique visitors the same day. However, there is a 0% conversion rate.

This kind of traffic would be good for sites with general stuff, like wallpapers, quotes, or anything else that could be interesting to 5 out of 10.

I'm suing Stumbleupon for a blog with pictures. I always stumble all the posts I make. It works pretty well.

I stumbled a friends site yet they got no hits from stumbleupon, however someone who had stumbled a lot of sites stumbled mine and I got about 200 hits over 2 days, does the amount of sites the user has discovered make a difference to how many hits you get from stumbleupon?

I get a lot of traffic from stumbleupon for my arcade site and it converts. However, my other sites will get a surge of traffic with no results. One of my biggest concerns with su is low ctr. If I get a lot of traffic with a low ctr on my site with adsense, I don't want to get smartpriced.

stumbleupon is entirely hit or miss, most of the time you'll get no hits whatsoever from it

I don't think you would see so many regulars over at the freebies section stumbling all the time if it didn't get at least some positive results...
