How much would it cost to have a site created that was similar to Truveo dot com? All the feeds and functionality? One that is SEO friendly like this site as well. With a professional look ect.
Depends on whether you have a private person do it vs a firm. A firm would charge you 5k+ as for like me, would charge you half that. The firm may get it finished quicker but then again I always believe that its good to take time and work one on one. When I worked for a firm, they were charging $5k min. and upwards to $7.5k just depends on how complex and targeted you want. Look for roughly $2-3k due to complexity Jim
Dont know the site so can only go on a few seconds look but I would be surprised if many companies would do it for $5,000/ £2,500 unless there is an off the shelf script that would do the bulk of it.
I was lowballing it in my attempt to have faith in corporate over priced america. The complexity of that site, yeah the numbers look big but that is why you go with someone who is a loner and loves coding to do this site. Jim this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less
Naturally we would disagree but freelancer -v- company is an old discussion and thankfully there are plenty of clients for both of us
It just seems that a company charges more because of overhead. who knows but back to the guy's thread.
