I have access to about 6-7 high PR websites PR4-7....if I add a page to these sites for one way links and that page is not ranked because its new....does it still pass some PR juice from those sites if the homepage on those sites are high PR or is it like a one way from a PR 0 site until the page I create builds up a PR>??
The page will start to pass PR once it gets indexed and ranked. The toolbar export only happens around every 3 months or so but PR is updated internally at Gooogle all the time so it should not take that long to pass on some PR.
are you sure about that ? for example alot of web directories can be a pr 5 and the internal folders are not ranked.
it can be impossible for all pages of one site to get pr from the root domain especially if there are hundreds of pages but if its a smaller site, it'll eventually start passing some type of PR
technically, any link that can be spidered will pass link juice. However, the amount of link juice that is passed can be so small that it is only a drop in the bucket. There are ways of "patching" up a site to make it pass PR juice more effectively to the pages you prefer. Example: PR5 homepage with 100 links will divide up the available link juice by 100 PR5 homepage with 10 links will divide the available juice by 10. This site's linked pages will get more PR juice because it is not being spread out so much. The numbers are not accurate, but just an example of how it works. Just because the toolbar doesn't say there's PR doesn't mean it doesn't have it yet, and also PR is not rounded to an even integer in reality, only on the toolbar.
Thanks, I have noticed that all of the pages for these sites have the high PR so I am thinking as soon as I get it indexed, the PR will pass through eventually. Back to the 100 links vs 10 links comment though. Would it be smart to make individual pages with 1 link on each page to get the full effect? Lets say I have a PR7 i want to send 1 way links to 10 of my websites....should I put all 10 on one page or make 1 page for each link with maybe a paragraph or relevent content.
Ok nice, good to know. I guess a full PR7 page with just 1 one way link is much better than having 1/10 of a PR7
