I have a product reviews site which allowed visitor participation by leave comments on the reviewed products. They are both positive and negative reviews on each product. However, I still got regular sales on some product which has a really bad negative reviews. This make me wonder why peoples are still buying on that product, even read negative reviews already. What do you guys think?
I think reviewing a product can only be authentic if you, yourself, have used the product. Positive or negative reviews will not matter so long as you have your own stand on the product's effectiveness since you have tried it. I would stop reviewing a product if i think it will pose negative effects on my readers.
Many still buy partly because they want to see the site, product for themselves. If the site looks nice, and it does its job, well, that's a sale.
The simple answer here is that people in general are not that smart! They will go to a review site and buy a product with out ever reading the reviews. It is odd!
