    Hi Guys,

I have a short question on choosing keywords. I have a site, let's name it XY for the purpose of this example.

In my site description, I currently have

    XY provides you with blablabla

Can I leave out XY and say directly, provides you with blablabla?

    Same goes for keywords.

My first keywords is XY. Is this necessary?

    Thanks :)

    It does make a difference.

The description tag is what people are likely to read when they come across your page in a search-engine. So make it the kind of sentence people will understand and be interested in. And personally, I would still take the trouble of mixing up the order of the keywords. So for instance in your title tag you have XY - in the description make it YX.

But that doesn't really make sense. If my site is for Brand XY, I can't just switch it and call it YX. Basically though you still recommend to include the brand in the description.

    Thanks :)
