I host a transit (subways & buses) related message board. I find it difficult to get the ads that I want to be displayed. One day I'll make $10+ and another day I'll make $2. I'm really confused on how channels work and how to use them effectively. My question is, how important are channels and how can I use them to draw the ads that I want my visitors to see? Thanks, TRP
first things, channel has no relation with the quality of ads. channel helps in recognizing which and what part of your website makes more or less money. exp: you can name 2 ad blocks as left and middle ads then use the code in your website to know which block makes more and which one less. there is very less that you can do to pull high paying ads to your site, rather concentrate in adding more valuable content.
Channels are a tool to help you measure different aspects of your ad performance. They have no impact on which ads are displayed. They are a passive measurement tool only.
These channels are used to monitor ads displayed in your websites! Through use of channels you can track your stats of your different websites using dedicated channels for each site! many as you can
The channels are for your internal purposes only, and do not in any way effect what ads are displayed.
