I set up a campaign for google content match. (not the one that you choose the URL's) The one you choose the key words and you pay per click...My boss asked me to create a report for the key words that got clicked on... but google doesn't show that. It only shows how many clicks you got... is there a way to get that information? Maybe on a report? Thank you!
You/your boss do understand that clicks from the content network don't come as a result of people using keywords to search for anything, right? This may be helpful. There's also a section about the content network here that you may find useful.
i have not found much success in the content network, if you aren't seeing great results from it you may want to opt out of it, then create more targeted banner ads using the site-targeting campaigns, hope this helps! good luck!
I find the content network a really hit and miss affair. One of the campaigns I'm promoting is going ballistic on the content network while others it's just not worth it.
I dont completely agree with content network not being efficient. It really depends on what you advertise... If you run a website selling clothes at discount prices for examples, it's a good way to make yourself known by many potential customers at a fair price (usually much less than one click on Google search). But if you advertise computer or phone parts, it's better to restrict to Google engine as your products answer specific and ponctual needs ("keyboard Toshiba platinum" for example). What many advertisers are missing is that content targeted campaigns need to be optimized as well. To be as sure as possible to get an ad showed on relevant websites, you have to build really targeted keyword lists. What's important also is not to hesitate to add negative keywords also. They also work for content only campaigns. Finally get a placement report sent to your inbox everyday. Like that you'll know which sites showed your ads. About placement report. These are only some advice and know it's not exhaustive, but could help.
